Edward
Edward is a student-centered math educator with a bachelor’s in Mathematics Education, nine years of high school teaching in Ghana and the United States, and seven years of online tutoring. He builds understanding and confidence through stepwise explanations, visuals, and real-world examples, while checking for comprehension and celebrating every win. Edward supports learners with ADHD and dyscalculia by breaking lessons into manageable chunks, setting clear routines, and using frequent check-ins and visual cues. From fractions and algebra to precalculus, calculus, and PSAT prep, he focuses on problem solving as a life skill, not just a test skill. Away from the whiteboard he travels, plays soccer and tennis, and brings that same energy and positivity into sessions that help students feel capable and motivated.

My teaching approach is student-centered and focused on building both understanding and confidence. I believe every student learns differently, so I adapt my instruction to their individual needs — breaking concepts into smaller steps, using visuals and real-life examples, and checking for understanding along the way. I also emphasize positive reinforcement and celebrate progress, so students stay motivated even when the material feels challenging. My goal is not just for students to master the content, but to develop problem-solving skills and a love for learning that lasts beyond our sessions.
I hold a Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics Education. I have over 9 years of experience teaching high school students in both Ghana and the United States.
I have over 7 years of experience tutoring online as a virtual tutor. My tutoring has included both on-demand small group sessions and one-on-one instruction, helping students strengthen their skills and build confidence in math.
