Hopscotch
Hopscotch is a kid-friendly visual coding app where children create games, art, and animations by snapping together code blocks on an iPad. Founded by developer and educator Samantha John, Hopscotch was designed to make programming feel like creative play. Tutorials, challenges, and a moderated sharing community motivate kids to experiment and learn from peers. Families use Hopscotch to introduce coding concepts to ages roughly 8–13, especially creative kids who enjoy designing characters and seeing their ideas come alive on screen.
