Greg John is a dedicated science and ESL tutor who believes in curiosity, critical thinking, and collaboration. Currently pursuing his MA in Education at St. Paul University, he brings hands-on experience from tutoring diverse learners in biology, chemistry, and English. Greg tailors lessons through differentiated instruction—using visuals, real-world applications, and interactive activities to make learning meaningful. He supports learners with ADHD, dyslexia, autism, and gifted profiles with structured, flexible methods that foster confidence and independence. An award-winning educator and lifelong anime and K-drama fan, he brings warmth and enthusiasm to every session, helping students see science as both logical and inspiring.

My approach to teaching is centered on fostering an engaging and supportive learning environment. I prioritize understanding individual learning styles and adapting my methods accordingly to meet diverse needs. Encouragement of critical thinking and active participation is key, as I believe that students learn best when they can explore concepts, ask questions, and apply knowledge in practical contexts. Additionally, I strive to create a collaborative atmosphere where students feel comfortable sharing their ideas and experiences, promoting a deeper understanding of the material.

Currently pursuing Master of Arts in Education major in General Science at St. Paul University of the Philippines, Graduated from Isabela State University with a degree in Bachelor of Secondary Education, ESL Certificate Holder, and a certified tutor for three years

I have been tutoring since 2022 upon graduation from my Bachelor’s degree. I had the opportunity to work with a company 3 months where I provided academic assistance and online tutoring services to various students from diverse educational backgrounds. I also worked as a part time tutor for my niece in person. I had one tutor from Japan but originally from Bangladesh. I taught him English. Moreover, I have been working at Littera Education as a tutor since 2023.

How I adapt to students with diverse intellectual needs.

I approach personalizing lessons for different kinds of minds by first assessing each student's unique strengths, interests, and learning styles. This involves open communication to understand their preferences, whether they thrive on visual aids, hands-on activities, or auditory explanations.

For children with learning differences, I implement differentiated instruction strategies. This could mean breaking tasks into smaller, manageable steps for those who may struggle or providing advanced materials to challenge gifted learners. I also incorporate various teaching tools, such as technology, interactive games, and real-world applications, to engage students and make learning more relatable.
