Khadija is a collaborative English and math tutor (BA Psychology, Rutgers; K–6 certified) with three years’ classroom and online experience who uses inquiry-based learning and visuals to keep lessons engaging and to support students with IEP accommodations.

Monday to Friday - Eastern Time - 3pm - 11pm

My approach to teaching is a mix of collaborative teaching and inquiry based teaching. I also like to insert or add visual aids to make teaching more engaging for students.

Bachelors in Psychology, Rutgers University, (k-6) instructional teaching certificate,

I have 3 years of tutoring experience. I have worked as a head instructor at a learning center and have worked as a online instructor as well. I have tutored subjects such as Math, Reading and Writing to Grades 3-8.

My mission

My mission is to help students achieve their best academic potential. I want to help them make progress with their educational goals from the beginning to the end. As a tutor, I am inspired by the students that are constantly working on improving themselves so they can get ahead in their grades. I like to see students feel happy and motivated when learning.

My Story

Hello, I grew up in California as a child. My family moved to New Jersey and now I currently reside in New Jersey USA. As a child, I went to several elementary schools. My family was a family of immigrants and they were constantly moving in search of better opportunities. Growing up, I never had a set elementary school that I would go to. This aspect of my life motivated me to go into teaching and education. I love to play tennis and love to paint. I work as a substitute teacher currently.

How I adapt to students with diverse intellectual needs.

I have worked with students in the past with IEPs who needed certain acomodations that would help them with in person testing as well as with small group instruction.
