Anneliese
Anneliese holds two master’s degrees, one in Music Education and English and American Language and Literature from Innsbruck University and the Mozarteum, and a Master of Music in Vocal Performance from the University of Massachusetts Amherst. She has more than fifteen years of experience teaching English, German, and music in international and classroom settings and has prepared students for Cambridge English exams while supporting learners at every level from beginners to advanced performers. Her teaching blends traditional instruction with project based learning and digital tools to build strong foundations in reading, writing, speaking, and musical performance, and she tailors lessons to each student’s learning style so confident risk taking becomes the norm. She often brings performance and creativity into language lessons, uses interdisciplinary projects to deepen understanding, and offers private piano and voice instruction that reinforces literacy and communication skills across subjects. Families value her warm, encouraging approach, the practical resources she develops, and the way she turns small successes into lasting confidence. Outside of teaching she reads widely, makes and performs music, hikes, swims, and still finds time to jump on a trampoline for pure joy.

My approach to teaching English and German is centered on inspiring a lifelong love of language and communication. I create a safe, respectful, and engaging environment where students feel confident to take risks, explore ideas, and develop their own voice. By blending traditional methods with project-based, interdisciplinary learning and digital tools, I help students build strong foundations in reading, writing, and speaking while also connecting language to culture and real-life contexts.
With openness, humor, and care, I strive to make every student feel valued and supported, fostering curiosity, cross-cultural understanding, and the confidence to use language as a tool for both personal growth and global connection.

I hold two master’s degrees that reflect both depth and versatility in my academic journey. I earned a Master of Arts in Music Education and English & American Language and Literature from Innsbruck University and the Mozarteum in Austria, where I combined my passion for teaching with a rigorous study of literature and pedagogy. I also completed a Master of Music in Vocal Performance at the University of Massachusetts, Amherst, which strengthened not only my artistic expertise but also my ability to bring creativity and performance-based strategies into the classroom.
This dual background in education, language, and the arts has shaped me into an interdisciplinary educator with a global outlook—equally comfortable guiding students through complex texts in English or German as I am fostering creativity through performance, collaboration, and cross-cultural understanding.

I bring over 15 years of experience as both a classroom teacher and a private tutor, working with students of all ages in English, German, and music. Alongside my extensive teaching in international schools, I have provided one-on-one and small-group tutoring in person and online, tailoring each lesson to the needs, goals, and learning styles of my students. My tutoring experience includes preparing learners for Cambridge English exams, strengthening German language skills, and supporting students in writing, reading comprehension, and conversational fluency.
In addition, I offer private instruction in piano, singing, and music theory, often integrating digital tools and creative methods to make lessons engaging and accessible. Whether online or face-to-face, I create a safe, encouraging learning environment where students feel supported, motivated, and confident in their progress.

My mission
My mission as an educator is to nurture a lifelong love of learning in every student I work with. I believe that language and music open doors—not only to knowledge, but to creativity, confidence, and connection with the world. What inspires me most is watching a student’s eyes light up when they suddenly understand a concept, find their voice in a new language, or gain confidence in a performance. Those moments of growth remind me why I teach.
Tutoring allows me to give students highly personalized guidance, meeting them exactly where they are and helping them move forward at their own pace. I am inspired by the diversity of minds and backgrounds I encounter, and I see it as my purpose to create a safe, encouraging space where every learner feels respected, supported, and empowered to succeed.

My Story
My story begins in Austria, where I grew up surrounded by both music and language. From a young age, I was fascinated by how songs, stories, and poetry could connect people across cultures, and this love eventually led me to study both music and English at university. During those years, I was fortunate to have mentors who not only shaped my skills but also showed me how a teacher’s encouragement can change a student’s life. That lesson has stayed with me ever since.
After completing my studies in Austria and the United States, I began teaching internationally, which has been one of the great adventures of my life. Living and working in different countries, I’ve seen firsthand how language and music can open doors for students—giving them confidence, a sense of belonging, and a way to express themselves. Along the way, I’ve taught in schools, built digital learning platforms, and worked one-on-one with learners around the globe.
Today my life continues to be filled with both teaching and creativity. Outside of the classroom, I love reading, singing, playing the piano, hiking, swimming, dancing, and yes—jumping on the trampoline whenever I can. I also cherish meeting people from around the world and sharing experiences that broaden my perspective and keep me curious. My story is one of blending cultures, disciplines, and passions, and I bring that same spirit of openness and joy into my teaching every day.
Cognitive Diversity
How I adapt to students with diverse intellectual needs.Over the years, I’ve learned that no two learners think alike, and that is what makes teaching such a creative and rewarding process. My approach is always to see the student first as an individual—with unique strengths, challenges, and ways of engaging with the world. For some students, structure and clarity are key; for others, it’s imagination, humor, and a chance to move beyond the page that unlocks their potential. I adjust my methods accordingly, using a mix of traditional instruction, project-based learning, and digital tools to meet them where they are and help them flourish.
I have worked with children who learn differently—whether that means supporting a student with attention challenges, guiding a highly gifted learner who thrives on deeper intellectual exploration, or encouraging a child who needs extra time and reassurance to find their confidence. In every case, my goal is the same: to create a safe, respectful space where each child feels seen, valued, and capable of growth.
I also understand these challenges personally. Within my own family, I’ve supported relatives navigating both learning differences and giftedness, which has given me deep empathy for the emotional side of learning—not just the academic. This experience has reinforced my belief that patience, encouragement, and adaptability are essential, and that every mind, in its uniqueness, can discover joy and success in learning when given the right environment.
