Young learners might clap syllables, sing patterned songs, play simple instruments, or act out stories to reinforce concepts. Mary Grace is experienced with neurodivergent learners and intentionally designs predictable routines, multisensory activities, and gentle transitions to support kids with ADHD, autism, and sensory differences. My mission

My mission is to celebrate every child’s uniqueness and provide personalized learning that empowers all students including those with learning differences to succeed and shine.

My Story

I am originally from the Philippines but I am currently residing here in the United States. My parents told me that I was very talented when I was in my elementary and high school days because I could sing and dance and Until now that hasn't changed. I grew up in a simple life with my 7 siblings and my beloved mother, my father passed away.

Cognitive Diversity

How I adapt to students with diverse intellectual needs.

I personalize lessons by observing how each students learns best whether they are visual, auditory or hands-on learners. While I am new to formal tutoring, my classroom teaching experience has given me strong foundation in working with students with extra support and gifted. I adjust my lessons to make them accessible for struggling learns and challenging for advanced learners.

Yes, I have 5 years experience in handling kids with 2e, like cerebral palsy with autism and Autism with Speech Impairment. When I was teaching students back then, I divided them into two groups, from verbal to non verbal, because I used different teaching method. I showed them positive attitude like praise effort, persistence to learn and always provide support like visual step by step instructions. Gifted children need intellectual challenge but learning differences may slow processing.

I often give gifted kids a more challenging work, provide enrichment activities and high ordered thinking tasks.

When it comes to ADHD In class, I gave them clear and simple instructions, used rewards for every accomplishments, focus on progress, not perfection.

With Autism kids I gave them one instruction at a time, I also used concrete language like
" Pick up the yellow pencil and put it in the box, Put the blue book on the top shelf" and offer praise for each correct response.

I encountered kids with Sensory processing as well as partially blind and Sensory processing with Autism. We were more on Occupational therapy rather than academically, because of their condition. Provide fidget tools, stress balls, and sensory activity books. I avoided bright lights and loud noises.
