Errollyn is an experienced special educator and educational diagnostician who has spent nearly two decades helping students unlock reading and writing. She is certified in special education and elementary education and has worked across K–12, supporting learners with dyslexia, dysgraphia, ADHD, and other learning differences. In sessions, Errollyn uses structured, multisensory routines to teach decoding, spelling, comprehension, and written expression. She collects informal data along the way, adjusting instruction so that each lesson stays in the sweet spot between challenging and achievable. Her calm, encouraging presence helps anxious readers feel at ease, and she is skilled at explaining to families what’s going on beneath the surface so everyone can work as a team. Beyond academics, Errollyn focuses on helping students see themselves as capable learners who can persist through difficulty.

I am flexible.

I believe in hands-on, inquiry-based learning experiences rooted in developmental best practices and innovation. I use data and early intervention to meet each student where they are, while promoting curiosity, creativity, and confidence. With a global perspective and strong focus on inclusivity, I create learning environments where all students feel valued, challenged, and empowered to grow—academically and socially

My mission

My mission as a tutor is to empower students to reach their fullest potential by providing personalized, engaging, and supportive learning experiences. I believe every learner has unique strengths, and with the right guidance, tools, and mindset, they can excel academically and grow confidently.

My Story

I come from a family of educators. As a high school student in Houston ISD I often volunteered in my mom’s special needs early childhood classroom before school. My first role in education was as a long term sub and I was partnered with my mom as my teaching partner. As a first year teacher in Aldine ISD my mom often volunteered at my school as a class mom. She also served as a mentor to me showing me the things that come with experience. Today I am an international educator. I have been a teacher, middle leader, and senior leader in schools in Texas, Arizona, the UAE, Kuwait, and Egypt. I have over 18 years in education. I truly enjoy watching students use their brain to figure things out and it brings me joy when they realize that they have mastered a skill.

Cognitive Diversity

How I adapt to students with diverse intellectual needs.

I personalize learning by understanding how each person thinks and learns. Using diagnostic data, observations, and student voice, I create lessons that provide multiple entry points to mastery. I incorporate visual, auditory, kinesthetic, and creative strategies, ensuring all learners, gifted, neurodiverse, linguistically diverse, or struggling, have access to rigorous and meaningful learning. My goal is not to make the work easier, but to make access equitable.

As a former GT teacher and Diagnostician I have worked with students that were both autistic and gifted.

As a former GT teacher I taught a gifted 3rd grade class for 4 years. We used the standards given by the state and I allowed the students to have choice on how they wanted to learn and topics.

As a former RtI specialist I pulled students that were ADHD on a daily bases. We worked in short increments in order to keep attention and I allowed students to work using flexible seating.

I used the Baton system and seeing stars for my students that were dyslexic.
