Adriana is an educator and family coach with a background in communication sciences, education, and marriage and family studies. For more than two decades, she has worked with children and parents around the world, supporting early learning, Spanish language development, social skills, and family communication. Adriana sees each child in the context of their whole family and designs sessions that nurture both academic and emotional growth. With younger learners, she uses songs, stories, play, and movement to build early literacy, numeracy, and Spanish in a joyful, low-pressure way. With older kids and parents, she weaves in tools for communication, emotional regulation, and problem-solving. Adriana is experienced with a wide range of learning differences and collaborates closely with families to adjust routines, expectations, and strategies so learners feel safe and successful. Her warm, holistic approach helps families feel like they have a partner, not just a tutor.

My teaching approach is holistic and student-centered. I combine Montessori principles, evidence-based learning strategies, and logotherapy to support each child’s emotional, cognitive, and social development. I focus on fostering independence, critical thinking, and meaningful learning experiences.

I have a Degree in science of communication, Montessori teacher certification and Master’s Degree in Family Counseling and Education, with Specialization in Marriage and family studies

I have over twenty years of experience supporting families and educating children. Currently, I focus on guiding families in assertive communication, emotional intelligence, understanding their children’s developmental characteristics, learning styles (visual, auditory, and kinesthetic), and setting boundaries for effective education. I provide all of this through online platforms.

My mission

My mission as an educator has always been about service—helping families and children grow by sharing the knowledge and skills I have gained over the years. Supporting families, guiding them in communication, emotional intelligence, and understanding their children’s unique learning needs has become my life’s mission. I strive to empower both children and parents so they can thrive together.

My Story

I could describe myself as a nomad, as change has been a constant throughout my life. Growing up in a military family, with my father serving in the armed forces, taught me resilience, openness to change, appreciation for different ways of thinking, and a desire to expand my cultural horizons. Today, with my husband and two daughters, we continue to experience frequent changes both within my home country, Mexico, and in the United States.

My Catholic upbringing, Montessori philosophy, and logotherapy have given deep meaning to my life through service to others, respecting human dignity above all, and valuing the uniqueness of each individual. Sharing the importance of family has become one of my life’s purposes.

Cognitive Diversity

How I adapt to students with diverse intellectual needs.

I personalize lessons by focusing on each child’s unique learning style (visual, auditory, kinesthetic), developmental stage, and emotional needs. With over twenty years of experience supporting families and educating children, I use evidence-based strategies, Montessori principles, and logotherapy to help children build confidence, independence, and meaningful learning.

I have experience working with children with learning differences as well as gifted children, tailoring lessons to their strengths and challenges. I also guide families in communication, emotional intelligence, and setting effective boundaries, all delivered online for flexibility and accessibility.

I have experience working with children with ADHD both as a Montessori teacher and while teaching online catechism (during pandemic time). To keep children engaged, I make sure not to exceed their attention span by keeping lessons short and varied. I regularly switch activities, incorporate videos, and include hands-on crafts for which I ask materials in advance. I also set up a distraction-free workspace, sometimes requesting special chairs from parents, and include breathing and movement exercises to help children focus and release energy. These strategies help children stay attentive, participate actively, and enjoy the learning process.
