Recommended Ages

Designed for K–12 classrooms, with teacher resources spanning kindergarten through grade 12.

Learning First Peoples Classroom Resources are materials developed with First Nations communities in British Columbia to support respectful teaching about First Peoples’ histories, cultures, and perspectives. Produced by the First Nations Education Steering Committee, they include lesson plans, authentic texts, and teacher guidance that foreground Indigenous voices. Homeschool parents value the clear cultural protocols and the chance to move beyond token lessons toward deeper understanding. Most resources are available as free PDFs, making this an excellent-value foundation for more accurate Indigenous studies.

Teacher resource guides and related materials are available as free downloadable PDFs, while printed guides typically cost about $15 USD per copy.
