Supports librarians and educators offering STEM programs for pre-K–12 youth and their families

STAR Net is a national initiative that helps public libraries offer STEM programming for their communities through free guides, activity ideas, and circulating kits. Led by the Space Science Institute and partners such as NASA and the American Library Association, STAR Net designs projects and training so librarians can host events on topics like astronomy, engineering challenges, and citizen science. Many of the resources, including activity PDFs and program outlines, are freely available online. Homeschool families benefit when local libraries run STAR Net programs and can also download materials directly to recreate workshops at home or in co ops.

Online toolkits, program guides, and webinars are grant-funded and free for libraries and educators to access.
