Recommended Ages

Best for advanced middle school and high school students (roughly grades 7–12)

VideoText Interactive is a video-based algebra and precalculus curriculum that focuses on teaching the “why” behind procedures through short, concept-rich lessons. Developed by educator Tom Clark, it reorganizes traditional Algebra I, Algebra II, and Precalculus into a single, integrated sequence and includes worktexts, quizzes, and solutions. Parents appreciate the clear, blackboard-style explanations and the ability for students to pause, rewind, and rewatch as needed. The upfront cost is higher than many workbooks, but because it can be used with multiple students and covers several years of math, families often find it a strong long-term value.

Each complete online course (Algebra or Geometry/Precalculus) is a one-time purchase of $299 for an online license covering two students; additional student licenses cost $49 each.
