My approach to teaching is student-centered, inquiry-based, and focused on building both skills and confidence. I believe every child learns differently, so I design lessons that are differentiated, engaging, and connected to students’ interests and experiences. I see my role as a facilitator who guides students to think critically, ask questions, and take ownership of their learning. By creating a supportive and inclusive environment, I encourage students to take risks, learn from mistakes, and develop a lifelong love of learning.

I have a masters in Education from CUNY City College of New York.

I have been an educator and tutor for the last eight years.

My mission
My mission is to help every child feel confident, capable, and excited about learning. I believe that education should not only build skills but also spark curiosity and a love for discovery. What inspires me to tutor is the opportunity to make a direct impact—seeing a student’s progress, celebrating their breakthroughs, and watching their confidence grow. Helping students realize that they can succeed, even when learning feels challenging, is what motivates me every day.

My Story
Cognitive Diversity
How I adapt to students with diverse intellectual needs.I approach personalizing lessons by recognizing that every student learns in a unique way and tailoring instruction to meet their individual strengths, challenges, and interests. I use a variety of strategies such as scaffolding, visual supports, hands-on activities, and enrichment opportunities to ensure that all students, including those with learning differences and gifted learners, are both supported and challenged.
In my experience as a classroom teacher and ESL specialist, I’ve worked with students with ADHD, dyslexia, and language-based learning differences, as well as students who are advanced in specific subject areas. For students who need extra support, I break tasks into smaller, manageable steps, provide consistent feedback, and celebrate progress. For gifted students, I offer extension activities, open-ended projects, and opportunities to explore topics in greater depth.
This flexible, individualized approach not only helps students achieve academically but also builds their confidence and motivation. I believe that by honoring cognitive diversity, we create a learning environment where every child feels capable and valued.
I have experience teaching and tutoring children with ADHD in both classroom and online settings. I understand that students with ADHD often need lessons that are highly engaging, structured, and broken into manageable parts. To support them, I use strategies such as clear and consistent routines, frequent check-ins, and incorporating movement or short brain breaks to help maintain focus. I also use interactive tools—like online games, polls, and visual organizers—to keep learning active and engaging.
One effective approach I’ve used online is to provide step-by-step directions paired with visuals, then check for understanding before moving on. I also give students choices within the lesson, which helps increase their sense of ownership and motivation. By combining structure with flexibility, I’m able to keep students with ADHD engaged while creating a supportive and positive learning environment.
