My approach is to guide and motivate students to improve in their language skills. Some may require more guidance and support while for others may need more analysis and synthesis. The overall approach is built on Bloom's Taxonomy- from basic to higher-order thinking skills. For example, some students need certain strategies to overcome hesitation and groping for words when responding to questions. Others may require more complex structures to explicitly share views and ideas.
Lessons are created using powerpoint slides to assist in understanding, with quizzes and games to enhance the learning experience. Mini projects incorporating Canva, flipbooks, google questionnaires and other apps are sometimes used to encourage communication and collaborative activities.
Besides that, my sister has celebral palsy and this has shown me the significance of compassion, support and encouragement in creating a condusive learning environment.
