My educational approach focuses on creating a supportive, student-centered learning environment where curiosity, critical thinking, and confidence can grow. I believe in making lessons meaningful and engaging by connecting them to students’ interests and real-life experiences. I use clear explanations, guided practice, and positive reinforcement to help students understand and apply new concepts. I also encourage active participation, creativity, and reflection so that students become independent learners who take ownership of their learning journey.

I hold a Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering and have earned an ESL TEFL certificate. I have four years of experience teaching children and one year of experience teaching at the university level. This combination of formal education and hands-on teaching has helped me develop strong instructional skills and the ability to adapt lessons for different age groups and learning needs.

I have several years of experience tutoring both formally and informally. I have helped friends and family members with subjects like English, Math, and basic computer skills. I also provided homework support and exam preparation. Through these experiences, I learned how to explain complex ideas in simple ways, adapt to different learning styles, and build students’ confidence in their abilities.

My mission

My mission is to help students build confidence in their abilities, discover joy in learning, and realize that they are capable of more than they think. I’m inspired to tutor because I’ve seen how the right support can completely change a child’s outlook on learning. Whether it’s helping a struggling student finally “get it” or challenging a curious mind to think deeper, I find it incredibly rewarding to be part of that growth. I believe every child deserves a patient, understanding guide who meets them where they are and helps them move forward with encouragement and purpose.

My Story

Cognitive Diversity

How I adapt to students with diverse intellectual needs.

I believe every child learns differently, and it’s important to adapt lessons to meet each learner's unique needs. I personalize lessons by first observing how a student processes information—whether they learn best through visuals, movement, hands-on activities, repetition, or verbal explanation. From there, I adjust my teaching style to suit their strengths while supporting areas where they need growth.

I have worked with children who were both gifted and those who faced challenges such as ADHD and dyslexia. I break down complex tasks into manageable steps, use clear and encouraging communication, and always prioritize patience and consistency. For gifted students, I challenge them with critical thinking tasks and creative extensions to keep them engaged.

Additionally, I have family members with learning differences, and supporting them has deepened my empathy and understanding. I know how important it is to build trust, maintain a calm learning environment, and celebrate every small success.

I have experience working with children who have ADHD, both in classroom settings and during one-on-one tutoring sessions. I understand that students with ADHD often need more movement, variety, and structure to stay engaged—especially in an online environment. To support them, I use clear routines, visual schedules, short and focused activities, and plenty of positive reinforcement. I also include interactive elements like games, drawing tools, movement breaks, or quick "brain boosters" to keep sessions dynamic and enjoyable.

I prioritize flexibility and patience, always adjusting the pace or approach based on how the student is responding. I’ve found that building a strong, supportive relationship helps them feel safe, which makes a big difference in their focus and willingness to participate.

While I don’t have ADHD myself, I have worked closely with family members and students who do, which has given me a deeper understanding of how to meet their learning needs with empathy and creativity.
