UFLI Foundations is a structured phonics curriculum from the University of Florida Literacy Institute designed for early elementary students. Rooted in the science of reading, it provides explicit, systematic lessons in phonemic awareness, phonics, high-frequency words, and encoding, along with decodable texts and cumulative review. The program was created by literacy researchers and experienced teachers to be practical in real classrooms while staying tightly aligned with evidence-based practices. Homeschool families adapt UFLI Foundations for one-on-one instruction, using its clear routines and lesson scripts to support beginning readers and those who need intervention.

The UFLI Foundations Teacher Manual costs $70 new from the publisher, while companion lesson resources in the online Toolbox are free to download and print.
