Tangela holds a master’s degree in Special Education, an EdS in Educational Leadership, and a doctorate in Special Education, and she is a certified teacher. She has several years of tutoring experience with elementary and middle school students across math, science, language arts, and reading. Her approach is student-centered and highly adaptive and she personalizes each lesson using clear structure, interactive activities, visual supports, and regular check-ins to keep learners engaged. She has extensive experience supporting students on the autism spectrum and with ADHD and works closely with families to create routines and accommodations that reduce anxiety and build confidence. Families value her patience, practical strategies, and focus on steady, measurable progress. Outside of teaching she loves to travel and often brings short, real-world stories from her trips into lessons to spark curiosity and connect learning to life.
