Teikeshia is a passionate English and writing tutor who believes that every student can learn when guided with patience and motivation. She holds a B.A. in English from Southern University at New Orleans and dual master’s degrees in Counseling and Curriculum & Instruction from Xavier University of Louisiana. With over a decade of experience in education, she helps students strengthen literacy skills, set college goals, and build confidence through consistent encouragement. A former School Counselor of the Year nominee, she inspires young people to reach their full potential. In her spare time, she enjoys reading, singing, shopping, and spending time with family.

Monday-Thursday 9am-2pm and Friday 9am-1pm (Central Standard Time)

I believe that all students can learn and be taught! Educating the whole student produces success. This philosophy has helped to shape her professional career in servicing young people. I continue to help others progress forward with a mindset of motivation.

I have multiple years of experience in English/ELA. The best key is exposure. My experiences have allowed me to assist students on all grade levels with college and career planning, multiple trainings and professional developments, and exposure to many student opportunities that help students progress through his/her educational journey.

It is all about getting to know the individual student. This is your guide to success. This can be done in many ways, such as, formal and informal assessments, conversations with parents, collaboration with colleagues, etc.

Students have to be actively engaged at all times! Making sure online activities are aligned to the learning style of the students is key.
