My mission

My mission as a tutor is simple: I want to help people feel confident when they learn. I know what it feels like to struggle with something and finally have it “click,” and I want to help others experience that same feeling. Learning a new skill, especially a new language, can change someone’s life, and being a part of that journey feels meaningful to me.

What inspires me to tutor is watching growth happen in real time. I love those moments when a student realizes, “Hey, I can actually do this.” Seeing someone go from unsure to proud is the best kind of motivation. I also enjoy getting to know each learner, their personality, their strengths, their humor and finding ways to make learning feel natural, not stressful.

For me, tutoring isn’t just about teaching lessons. It’s about building confidence, connection, and curiosity. And honestly? It just makes me happy to help people succeed.

My Story

I grew up in Akron, OH, where I learned early on that school doesn’t come easily to everyone—especially me, since I really struggled with math. Luckily, I had a few patient teachers who showed me that learning isn’t about being perfect, it’s about finding the right support and believing you can get better. That experience is what led me to tutoring, I wanted to be the kind of mentor I needed when I was younger. Now I live in Akron, where I spend my time teaching, connecting with my community, and enjoying the simple things in life. Tutoring gives me the chance to help others build confidence the same way I did, and that’s what keeps me inspired every day.

Cognitive Diversity

How I adapt to students with diverse intellectual needs.

I try to get information from the parents prior to lessons to know what the child's strengths and weaknesses are. This helps me to customize lessons.

I have worked online with children who have been diagnosed with ADHD. I attempt to keep the learner engaged and active with games, drawings, and communicating.
