Rana

Rana holds a PhD and specializes in communicative, culturally responsive Japanese instruction for learners from diverse backgrounds. She has extensive experience teaching foreigners living in Japan and helping children from Arab families adjust to a new culture by using language as a bridge—building confidence, cultural understanding, and practical communication skills. Rana personalizes lessons around each student’s interests—music, stories, or play—to make learning joyful and effective, and she brings her love of anime and manga to class as a motivating connection to Japanese culture.
