I have always had an innate desire to become a teacher. I feel that it is one of the most noble professions that a person would aspire to undertake. Helping others grow to become self-reliant, confident and proficient in life, I feel, is the highest form of giving. Maintaining the interest of students when teaching in an urban setting can be a difficult task. I feel that a dedicated teacher can set an example for other teachers, as well as inspire the children they come into contact with.

The responsibilities of a teacher are many. It is now necessary to play much more of a role in the upbringing of students. Working with the Parent coordinator, Assistant Principals and communicating with parents, being involved in extended day activities, and becoming almost a secondary parental figure is what should be expected of you. In order to insure a students success, this is the level of involvement necessary to develop appropriate social skills and to provide a nurturing class room environmen
