My approach to teaching is student-centered and flexible. I adapt lessons to each learner’s needs, focus on clear explanations, and create a supportive environment where students feel confident. I also set goals and track progress to make sure learning is effective and engaging.

I have a Bachelor’s Degree in Philosophy and a 140-hour TEFL certification. I also completed the C2 Proficiency in English from Cambridge. Along with my formal studies, I’ve built six years of experience as an online teacher, specializing in ESL, test preparation, and working with students of different levels and backgrounds.

I have six years of experience as an online teacher, working with students of all ages and levels. I’ve taught ESL, test preparation (SAT, ACT, AP, IELTS, KET, PET), and academic subjects. I’ve also helped students with lower-level English, adapting lessons to make learning clear and engaging. Alongside my professional work, I’ve supported friends and family by explaining concepts, reviewing assignments, and helping them improve their language and study skills.

My mission

My mission is to help students grow in confidence and reach their goals. I’m inspired by seeing their progress and those moments when learning finally “clicks.”

My Story

I grew up with a love for learning and languages, which led me to earn a degree in Philosophy and a TEFL certification. Along the way, I faced challenges with focus and motivation, which taught me the value of patience and encouragement in education. Mentors who believed in me inspired me to do the same for my students. Today, I live in Toronto, Canada, where I teach students from around the world and enjoy fitness and travel in my free time. Teaching allows me to combine my passion for learning with helping others succeed.

Cognitive Diversity

How I adapt to students with diverse intellectual needs.

I adapt lessons to each student’s learning style, using clear structure, encouragement, and flexibility. For learning differences, I break tasks into manageable steps and build confidence. With gifted students, I provide enrichment and deeper challenges. My experience supporting students with anxiety and attention difficulties helps me create a calm and motivating learning environment.

I have worked with twice-exceptional (2e) students who are both gifted and face learning challenges such as ADHD or anxiety. My approach is to balance enrichment with support challenging them intellectually while also breaking tasks into smaller, manageable steps to reduce stress. This way, they can use their strengths to overcome challenges and stay motivated.

I don’t have direct experience with dyslexia, but I would support students by using multisensory strategies.

I have experience teaching students with ADHD. I keep lessons engaging by breaking tasks into small steps, using visuals, varying activities, and giving frequent encouragement to maintain focus and motivation.

I don’t have direct experience teaching children on the autism spectrum, but I am comfortable adapting lessons with patience, structure, and clear communication.
