I'm twenty years old pursuing clinical psychology with a minor in philosophy. As a upcoming clinical psychologist and someone with ADHD, I understand the struggles which many neurodivergent people struggle with. However, I find that my teaching methods work well for unconventional learners and like to create a safe environment that fosters growth and connection. I have 3+ years of experience of tutoring kids with neurodiversity ranging from K-8. However, I am open to working with all age groups. I am a very friendly and humorous person and in my free time I enjoy playing video games, watching anime, reading, writing, and going out to get coffee with my peeps.

I work with students by taking their learning style and applying it to their learning. Many of us are learners of different kinds such as tactile, auditory, and visual. I integrate these processes into learning and make it immersive and fun. We will play games, have good conversations, crack jokes, and engage; all of this will be done while still learning. I try to teach kids learning is fun again.

In life coaching, we will address the big emotions that come up, set an end goal, and find out different modalities to allow for self-expression and acceptance. We work to reframe your mindset. I become another tool in your toolbox, as a friend and as a mentor and you will feel like yourself once again after leaving.

My mission

Many clients come to me feeling defeated and disinterested, we rework this process and make them feel empowered in their learning/emotions again. My ultimate goal for clients is for them to find their inner-self and become their best and most authentic self. Learning does not need to be boring, emotions do not have to be overwhelming, but we have to learn how to handle our difficulties and how they show up.

My Story

Schooling for me was difficult, I was a kid with undiagnosed ADHD. Teachers all taught me the same, in a way I did not understand. As my studies got harder, my condition got worse and worse. I have additionally been in mental health recovery for 8 years. As a result, I like to give the help I did not receive enough of. Many peers did not understand me and I felt isolated. My goal as a mentor is not to give you a worksheet but to help you understand yourself and feel empowered.

Cognitive Diversity

How I adapt to students with diverse intellectual needs.

ADHD, ASD, Dyslexia, I have ADHD

I do not have experience.

No, I do not have experience.

many of the kids I taught were for ADHD kids and, I myself have ADHD. I have 3 years of experience teaching kids with ADHD and I work to make my content engaging and immersive.

a couple of kids I taught were ASD and I am very understanding of their needs and understand their triggers and create an environment which supports their understanding and how the world is impacted in their lenses. I use learning that specifically targets their strengths and helps their weaknesses.

I have worked with a student with dyslexia and we taught her association and phonical awareness and tried to integrate ways to activate multiple senses of hers.

I have worked with kids with autism meaning I am likely suited for this as well since both share similarities in how they show up processing wise.
