Books in Bloom is a garden based science curriculum book from KidsGardening that pairs popular children’s stories with hands on plant investigations. Written by educators Valerie Bang Jensen and Mark Lubkowitz, who co founded the Teaching Gardens at Saint Michael’s College, it was created to help children discover botany concepts hiding in familiar picture books. Each of the seventeen chapters features a read aloud selection, background science, and creative garden activities that work indoors or outside. Families use Books in Bloom as a flexible K to 5 science and literacy spine, choosing a story, then heading to the garden or windowsill to explore.
