Carl is a thoughtful tutor who believes the best way to foster independent learners is to guide them toward discovering answers themselves. Certified in ESL and holding a Bachelor's degree, he teaches English Language Arts, Math, History, and Philosophy. His approach is to make content engaging and encourage new ways of thinking, a method honed through three years of teaching both children and adults, including those with ADHD, dyslexia, and on the autism spectrum. His hobbies include cooking with his wife, discussing films, and playing with his two young children.

I am currently working on a per contract basis for a school in Brazil so my schedule is open to nearly all days and hours. Nothing earlier than 8am or later than 9pm.

Like the teachers I have mentioned I try to take the qualities they had and incorporate them into my own methods. I make the content engaging and try to teach things or encourage thinking in ways that they haven't tried or even thought about all in my own inimitable style.

I have an ESL certification as well as my Bachelors from San Jose State University

3 years, teaching children and adults various levels of English. Mostly online with some private 1 on 1 tutoring session.
