Science Mom

Families can purchase individual courses or bundles and access them on demand. Each science course is designed to be completed over a semester, with a suggested pace of three lessons per week. The core of each lesson is a recorded video accompanied by printable notes and optional activities. Quizzes and polls reinforce learning, and many families use the notes for open-book review or portfolio documentation. Some courses are available for free or as part of a donation-based model, while others are paid. Once enrolled, you have access to all materials and can move through them at your own pace.

Science Mom may not be a great fit for very young learners, reluctant readers who struggle with writing even short answers, or families seeking a textbook-based or classical approach. The videos are information-rich and can feel too fast-paced or too dense for children under 8 or those without a basic science foundation. Students who dislike screens or require very short, highly interactive lessons might find the format challenging. It’s also not ideal for parents who want a lot of physical, hands-on experiments every day or who prefer a traditional lab manual structure.
