I am a certified English teacher with over a decade of experience helping students master reading, writing, and test prep. I specialize in making complex ideas clear and building students’ confidence. I’ve taught grades 4 through 12 and also support adults with ESL and professional writing. I love seeing my students grow and reach their goals. A fun fact about me is that I once rode my bike 100 miles in a single day just to prove I could!

my availability is very flexible at the moment; I am fully able to accommodate student-need.

My approach is patient, clear, and student-centered. I break down concepts step by step and adapt to each learner’s pace and style. I ask guiding questions, use real-world examples, and build skills through practice and encouragement. My goal is always to help students gain confidence and become independent thinkers.

I have a bachelor’s degree in English and am a certified English teacher. I also hold an ESL certification, which helps me support students learning English as an additional language. I am also AP College Board certified to teach full AP courses, as well as certified to teach all poritons of the SAT and ACT exams.

I’ve been teaching for over 10 years, working with students from elementary to high school in classrooms, small groups, and one-on-one tutoring. I specialize in English, reading, writing, and test prep, and have also supported adults with ESL and professional skills. I love adapting to different ages and needs to help every student succeed.

My mission

My mission is to help students unlock their potential by making learning clear, engaging, and tailored to their needs. I aim to build their skills and confidence so they can tackle challenges on their own and feel proud of their growth.

My Story

Teaching runs in my family, so I grew up valuing education and saw early how powerful good support can be. I became a tutor to give students the personal attention they often can’t get in a crowded classroom. I love watching their confidence grow. A fun fact is I’ve traveled to over a dozen foreign cities and always find a local bookstore to explore.

Cognitive Diversity

How I adapt to students with diverse intellectual needs.

Yes I believe my sessions are a great fit for 2e kids because I tailor lessons to both challenge and support them. I’ve worked with students who are gifted but also have ADHD or dyslexia, so I understand how to keep them intellectually stimulated while meeting their unique learning needs.

Yes my sessions work well for gifted kids because I design lessons that go deeper and encourage critical thinking. I’ve taught many advanced students who needed extra challenge beyond their grade level and I enjoy helping them explore ideas in more depth and complexity.

Yes I can support profoundly gifted kids by creating highly customized lessons that dive into complex topics and encourage independent thought. I’ve worked with students far ahead of their peers and know how to keep them engaged with challenging material that respects their abilities.

Yes my sessions are a good fit for children with ADHD because I keep lessons active, break tasks into small steps, and use positive reinforcement to keep them focused. I’ve taught many students with ADHD and know how to adjust pacing and methods to help them stay engaged and succeed.

Yes my sessions can be a good fit for children on the autism spectrum because I provide clear structure, patience, and adapt to their individual communication and learning styles. I’ve worked with students on the spectrum in both classroom and one-on-one settings, helping them feel comfortable and supported.

Yes my sessions are well suited for children with dyslexia because I use multi-sensory techniques, break reading into manageable parts, and build confidence through consistent practice. I’ve helped several students with dyslexia improve their reading and writing skills by tailoring lessons to their needs.

Yes my sessions can work well for children with sensory processing challenges because I create a calm, flexible environment and adjust lessons to reduce overwhelm. I’ve worked with students who needed breaks, quieter settings, or different materials to stay comfortable and focused.

I’ve supported students with anxiety and low confidence, helping them feel safe and gradually build trust in their abilities. I focus on encouragement, small successes, and adapting my approach to ease stress so they can learn without pressure.
