1st Grade Crafts

Our 1st Grade Crafts collection offers hands-on projects for kids around ages 6–7 who love to make things they can hold, wear, or play with. Homeschoolers, afterschooling families, and caregivers will find vetted, secular crafts using paper, yarn, recyclables, and nature items to build simple toys, decorations, and props. Each project is reviewed for safety, clear instructions, and developmentally appropriate fine-motor demands. Use the filters to sort by theme (animals, nature, pretend play, holidays), type of craft (puppets, mobiles, collages, simple sewing), and learner needs such as ADHD, autism, dyspraxia, or 2e, including options that offer extra structure or fewer steps. Many families use these crafts to practice following directions, sequencing, and perseverance in a fun context. If you’re unsure which first grade crafts match your child’s coordination and patience, Modulo’s AI learning concierge can recommend suitable projects.
