7th Grade Spelling Words

Our 7th Grade Spelling Words collection supports learners around ages 12–13 as vocabulary becomes more technical and multi-syllabic. Homeschoolers, afterschooling families, and caregivers will find vetted, secular word lists organized by Greek and Latin roots, prefixes and suffixes, and academic vocabulary from science, history, and literature. Many resources apply structured literacy and morphology so students learn how word parts reveal meaning and spelling, not just how to memorize lists. Use the filters to sort by focus (roots, content-area vocabulary, tricky patterns, or review), format (lists with activities, printable practice, or integrated word-study curricula), and learner needs such as dyslexia, dysgraphia, ADHD, or 2e. If you’re unsure which lists are appropriate—or how to keep spelling from becoming overwhelming—Modulo’s AI learning concierge can recommend a manageable seventh grade spelling plan.
