My approach to teaching is engaging and highly interactive. I pride myself in having fun when learning.

B.A. in Music Education and M.A. in Music Education. 7 years of experience teaching elementary and middle school students.

I have tutored children both online and in person.

My mission

My mission as a tutor is to help each child discover their strengths, build confidence, and develop a love for learning that goes beyond the classroom. I want students to feel supported, encouraged, and capable of achieving their goals—whether that means mastering foundational skills, catching up in an area of struggle, or stretching their abilities to new heights.

My Story

I grew up in Aurora, Ohio and have always been fascinated by learning and how people think. I experienced some learning challenges of my own growing up, which gave me a deep appreciation for patience, persistence, and creative ways of understanding new concepts. These experiences helped me develop empathy for students who learn differently, and they inspired me to help others discover strategies that make learning feel achievable and even fun.

Throughout my life, I’ve been fortunate to have mentors—teachers, family members, and community leaders—who nurtured my curiosity and encouraged me to explore subjects deeply. Their guidance helped me realize that teaching isn’t just about sharing knowledge, but about helping each learner see their own potential.

I currently live in Naples, Florida, and outside of tutoring, I enjoy spending time with friends, reading, and time with my dog. Today, my life is focused on learning, mentoring, and connecting with students in ways that help them thrive academically and personally. I find joy in celebrating small victories with my students, encouraging curiosity, and helping them feel confident in their abilities.

Whether it’s through formal education, one-on-one tutoring, or simply encouraging someone to see their own strengths, I aim to make learning a positive, empowering experience for every child I work with.

Cognitive Diversity

How I adapt to students with diverse intellectual needs.

I believe every child learns in their own unique way, and my role as a tutor is to meet them where they are. I approach lessons by first observing how a student processes information—whether they thrive with visuals, hands-on practice, storytelling, or structured repetition. From there, I adapt the pace, materials, and teaching style to match their needs while also encouraging flexibility in their learning. My goal is to create an engaging and supportive environment that builds confidence, fosters curiosity, and helps students connect with the subject in a way that feels natural to them.
