A yearlong Tuesday course where students explore 37 neighborhoods across NYC and nearby New Jersey meeting local leaders and storytellers to learn each community’s history, culture, and current issues.

Teen Takeover at Brooklyn Apple Academy is a weekly Sunday hangout where homeschooled and unschooled teens cook, game, read, make music, and work on projects together in a relaxed social space.

A Friday afternoon Dungeons and Dragons campaign run by a local youth Dungeon Master where kids and teens collaborate on imaginative adventures in a relaxed drop-off style setting.

Science is WEIRD is a narrative-driven online science program covering six years of physics, chemistry, biology, astronomy, earth science, and zoology through funny videos and optional deep-dive PDFs that encourage real scientific thinking.

Ongoing live group classes from Science is Weird where curious kids explore inventive topics through 90–120 minute weekly seminars or lower-cost webinars blending wild questions, hands-on activities, and big science ideas.

Surf Skate Science is an award winning, K-12 South Florida co-op that turns local beaches and skateparks into hands on classrooms where students learn science, technology, engineering, art and math. We also offer online learning, mailable kits, career exposure field experiences and now have a headquarters for after school and events.

Interactive Virtual World Learning

Salty Sharks is an immersive virtual education platform for students aged 8–16, focusing on STEM, history, and biology. Through project-based learning and conservation partnerships, it helps develop creativity, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills. The platform, accessible via computer, tablet, or VR, has already engaged over 10,000 students.
