The Modulo Advantage
Exclusive homeschooling focus
As the leading global experts in evidence-based homeschooling with the #1 Substack on homeschooling and modular learning, we have unparalleled expertise in what it takes to build a challenging and inspiring homeschooling environment for future leaders. Unlike other agencies that source a wide net of nannies, tutors, and other household staff, we focus only on finding exceptional homeschool teachers and are ideally positioned to fulfill this highly nuanced need.
Teaching and education expertise
The founder of Modulo has 20 years of direct experience as a teacher and learning specialist spanning Montessori and alternative education models, and brings in-depth knowledge of learning differences and gifted education. She has taught privately and in over a dozen private and public schools in Paris, NYC and San Francisco to 2,000+ students ages PreK–12th grade.
Custom learning plans
We don't just hire a teacher. We collaborate with you and your educator to choose curriculum and develop a unique learning plan to fit your child’s needs. Modulo draws on a directory of over 2,000 evidence-based homeschooling resources and 10 years of observing what works in curriculum and scheduling for unique learners.
Gifted and 2e education
Many families come to us because their accelerated kids aren't thriving in traditional school. We bring a wealth of knowledge (and powerful partnerships) about the specific needs of gifted and 2e learners, with access to tutors who understand and can support these needs.
Cognitive diversity & special needs
Our team and teachers understand how to cater learning to a wide range of learning and behavioral needs, including autism, ADHD, anxiety, dyslexia, and mobility differences. In addition to drawing on our wide network of trusted specialists, we bring personal experience tailoring learning tools and environments to a wide variety of learning profiles from 10 years of research and observing what works in practice for homeschoolers.
Safety first
We founded Modulo because we love children. Their physical, emotional and intellectual well-being is our highest priority. By partnering with the safest nanny agency in the country, we bring deep rigor to making sure the person teaching in your home is someone you can have absolute confidence in and is trained in safety.

Most full-time private homeschool teachers earn $150,000–$250,000 per year, with master teachers earning $350,000+ for highly specialized or demanding roles. To attract and retain excellent educators, we do not accept offers below $85,000 per year.
Finding a truly exceptional homeschool teacher is an intensive, highly competitive process. We are not simply filling a role; we are recruiting, vetting, and supporting an educator who can build a meaningful learning environment for your child and stay with your family long enough to make a real impact.

Your child’s emotional and physical safety is our first priority. That’s why Modulo has partnered with Cassandra Harner, founder of the Natural Nanny Collective and Safe Sitters, to lead a rigorous vetting process that includes background checks, reference checks, and careful evaluation of each educator’s experience, judgment, and fit. You’ll receive the full 14-step safety process in the welcome guide when you schedule your consultation.
We do not accept self-submissions. Teachers must be referred by a parent, employer, or trusted contact, and because our process is extremely selective, we are only able to move forward with a very small number of referred candidates.
