My mission
My mission as a Spanish tutor is to guide my students beyond memorizing grammar rules and vocabulary, toward truly thinking in the language. I believe, as Octavio Paz once said, that “learning to doubt is to learn to think.” For me, every doubt, every mistake, and every question is not a failure, but an opportunity to reflect, to grow, and to build deeper understanding. I strive to create a space where students feel safe to explore, to question, and to take risks in communication. Through conversation, cultural immersion, and interactive activities, I help them discover how Spanish is not only a tool of expression but also a way of seeing the world in wonderful ways, make them understand that my culture is a variety of feelings and visions. My mission is to awaken in each learner the courage to speak, the confidence to explore, and the freedom to think critically. Teaching Spanish, for me, is more than teaching a language—it is guiding others in learning how to learn, and in discovering new parts of themselves through words, culture, and dialogue.

My Story
I grew up in Bogotá, Colombia in 1988, and I started to be interested in languages and the way they open doors to culture, literature, and human connection. That passion led me to study Foreign Languages Teaching at the University Pedagogical and Technological of Colombia. I also completed a double Master’s degree in Literature at Sorbonne Nouvelle University and Paris Diderot University, where I focused on digital literature and the evolution of narrative.
Along the way, I faced the challenge of adapting to different educational systems and learning to navigate life in new cultures. That experience taught me resilience, flexibility, and empathy—qualities that now shape how I support my students when they encounter their own challenges. I was also inspired by professors and mentors who encouraged me to think critically, to embrace doubt as part of learning, and to see teaching as a creative act.
Today, I live in Bogotá, where I work as a trilingual teacher and online language tutor. My life is full of learning and teaching—I design interactive lessons that combine grammar, conversation, and culture, always with the goal of making students feel confident and curious. Outside of teaching, I love travelling, discovering delicious food, reading books, listening to music, watching films and series, riding a bike, writing and singing.
For me, teaching Spanish, French, and English is not just a profession—it’s a way of sharing my love of languages, building bridges between cultures, and helping others find their own voice in a new language.
