What sets me apart as a teacher is my ability to combine technical expertise with a personal, relatable approach that makes learning fun and engaging. I strive to connect with students by understanding their unique interests—whether it’s gaming, coding projects, or societal issues—and tailoring lessons to spark their curiosity and creativity.

Kids love my energy and enthusiasm, which I bring into every lesson, along with my knack for making complex concepts simple and approachable. I create a judgment-free space where students feel comfortable asking questions, making mistakes, and discovering the joy of coding. My teaching isn’t just about delivering content; it’s about fostering confidence and excitement for learning that students carry with them beyond the classroom.

What truly differentiates me is my ability to mentor students by tying coding to real-world applications that resonate with them, like creating websites on issues they’re passionate about or exploring the mechanics of rockets. My goal is to inspire kids to see the power of technology as a tool for creativity and problem-solving, all while making the experience enjoyable and memorable.

I'm a second-year college student majoring in statistics and data science. I'm close to completing my associate's degree in computer science.

I have valuable experience teaching coding and fostering creativity in students through hands-on projects. In high school, I founded and hosted a nonprofit organization called Women in Technology (WIT), an online summer club dedicated to introducing middle school students to coding and web development. Over the summer, I guided participants in learning foundational programming skills and developing their own websites. The program culminated in an impactful project where students created websites addressing societal issues they felt passionate about, empowering them to apply their skills to meaningful causes. Additionally, I currently run the Aerospace and Rocket Club at SBCC, where I lead discussions and projects that integrate software and hardware to explore how rockets function. This role involves mentoring peers, coordinating workshops, and fostering a collaborative environment for members to gain hands-on experience with technology and engineering principles.
