Books Unbanned
Books Unbanned is an initiative that gives teens free digital library cards so they can access ebooks and audiobooks—including frequently challenged titles—regardless of local bans. Run by participating public libraries, it was created to preserve access to diverse literature and information for young people. Homeschool parents appreciate the expanded catalog for history, civics, and ELA without extra subscription costs. While availability depends on partner libraries and requires a device plus internet, Books Unbanned can dramatically increase what teens can read for free.
