Rispah is a creative writing tutor whose love for words began in her childhood village in Central Kenya, where she penned her first poem, The Valley of Death, at just ten years old. After moving to Nairobi, her voice as a writer grew quieter for a time, but she rediscovered it after college and has since devoted herself to writing and teaching others to find their own. Today, she helps both children and adults grow as authors, poets, and storytellers, blending patience, encouragement, and practical skill-building. Rispah holds a Diploma in Hospitality as well as online certifications in Teaching Assistance, Educational Support, and English Language and Literature. When not guiding students or working on her own writing, she enjoys babysitting and spending time with young children, whose curiosity often inspires new ideas.

My mission

I want the students to choose what they want to do, to listen to their inner voice; that push that will make them see the potential that is in them and being courageous enough to choose a path they will enjoy walking on, now and in the future.

My Story

Well, when I was ten, I knew I wanted to be a writer or a journalist. I wanted to write or read news. I wanted to have people listen to me, but as years passed, I changed because my family figured I was a better teacher than a journalist! I surprised everyone when I went to college and did Hospitality but one thing I didn't stop, is writing. I published my first book back in 2017 and immediately after, I started teaching creative writing to 5th to 8th grade students. In 2020, I resigned from hotel industry to concentrate fully on what I love doing most, and now, I teach creative writing and write full time.

Cognitive Diversity

How I adapt to students with diverse intellectual needs.

Yes I do. I have worked with gifted children. They are from another planet, you just want to be around them! Beautiful kids who aspire to become leaders, artists, name them, and they even demonstrate those skills naturally!

I think so, this is because they require more understanding and patience, which is what makes my teaching fun. I'm a very patient person, when it comes to my students.

I'm a great fit because I was once a gifted kid, I stood out, with the help of my teachers and made something out of my uniqueness. I do that every day, I mentor students who are gifted.

Well, yes. My son is profoundly gifted. I see this boy do things that are way beyond his age. I tutor him sometimes and there are times he insists on being the teacher.

I do not have experience teaching kids with ADHD, but I believe with patience comes a lot of possibilities. So yes, I would not mind.

No experience, but they are equal to other kids just a little bit slow but I believe we can catch up and make something out of it.

Not a good fit. No experience at all.

Not a good fit.

Not a good fit.
