My educational approach is to make learning fun. If we do not create a fun, learning, and engaging environment, students will not want to come to school or continue learning. We have to set a proper environment where they can grow and flourish.

I went to St. Cloud State University to get my bachelor's degree I also minored in Special Education. My master's degree was completed at Walden University in Curriculum, Instruction and Assessment.

I tutored online during covid both virtually and in-person

My mission

My mission is to prepare students for the best future possible. I want to give them the tools to make them successful in EVERYTHING that they do. My inspiration is kids. Each kid is unique and beats to their own drum. My job as an educator is to figure out how to make them create that beat.

My Story

I have wanted to be a teacher ever since I was little. I used to set all my dolls out and pretend I was the teacher. Now I get to make my dream a reality. I have had my ups and downs to get there, though. I struggled with OCD, testing anxiety, and having a brother with a disability. My brother went undiagnosed with dyslexia until he was in fifth grade, and he was reading at a first grade level. After we received this news, I promised myself I would never let that happen to another kid. So here I am striving to do my best with every child that I encounter. I went to college, where I excelled in the Early Childhood Education program and minored in Special Education to give the tools to help kids like my brother.

Cognitive Diversity

How I adapt to students with diverse intellectual needs.

I love the saying, ‘Think of the end in mind. ’ We want to set a goal and determine how to make it attainable. Gathering information on students' likes and dislikes is how we create a strong foundation for success.

I work at a Title I school. So I have worked with students who have been through various backgrounds. Each student is unique in their own way. I have to tweak and tailor my lessons to best meet their needs. This can be done through students who are visual learners, kinesthetic, or auditory. It could also be done through using various manipulatives so they can have things in their hands. My brother has dyslexia, and our son has a developmental delay, so I have a very broad

It has been a dream of mine to work with gifted students. I think it would be a blast to help expand and elaborate lessons.

I have babysat with for various families who have kids with ADHD. I also have had various students with mild and very severe cases of ADHD.

I nannied for a family for 11 years who had ASD. I also have had various students with it.
