Upper Elementary

In upper elementary (grades 3–5, typically ages 8 to 11), children strengthen academic skills, deepen their knowledge, and become more independent learners. At this stage, kids read longer and more complex texts, write organized paragraphs and essays, master multiplication, division, fractions, and begin exploring decimals and early algebra. They develop critical thinking, manage multi-step projects, and dive deeper into science, history, and creative subjects, while also building social awareness, empathy, and collaboration skills. Parents can filter resources by grade level, subject, teaching approaches like nature-based or screen-free learning, and specific learning needs such as giftedness, dyslexia, ADHD, or 2e. An AI concierge is also available to help families discover resources that best fit their child’s academic goals and interests.
