Alma

Alma holds a master’s degree in Teaching with a focus on Secondary English Education, is TESOL certified, and is a state certified teacher with thirteen years of classroom experience and seven years of tutoring both online and in person. She specializes in English, reading, writing, and literacy development for elementary through secondary learners and has experience supporting students with ADHD, autism, dysgraphia, dyslexia, and gifted needs. Alma was named among the top five percent of American teachers and was nominated for the Golden Apple teaching award, and she brings a practical, hands-on approach that blends project-based learning with clear skill-building. Recently she helped a student who struggled to stay engaged online by incorporating art and tactile activities into lessons, which quickly improved focus and confidence. Families value her ability to personalize instruction, build lasting relationships, and make learning meaningful. She is also a keen baker, an avid tennis player, and has traveled to seventeen countries.
