Samantha holds an AAS and a BS in Law and brings ten years of classroom teaching plus eight years of online experience to her tutoring. She works with learners from baby through sixth grade and supports children with ADHD, autism, dyslexia, and gifted needs. Her teaching blends project-based and early-learner approaches and relies on total physical response to keep young students engaged. Samantha meets each student where they are, encourages learning through safe mistakes, and focuses on practical skills like reading, writing, English language learning, public speaking, creative projects, and basic math and sequencing. She lives near Fort Worth, Texas on seven acres with cows, chickens, and her dog River. She is a musician who plays drums and sings and is currently learning piano and guitar.

Learning does not have a one size fits all approach. Learning can be fun and I think we learn best from our mistakes.

I have an AAS and BS in Law. I have taught in school for 10 years and online for 8 years.

I currently teach children all over the world.

My mission

My mission as a tutor is to create a positive, supportive learning environment where each student feels confident, valued, and motivated to succeed. My students are my inspiration to continue to wrok hard to find what works best for them.

My Story

I currently live about 45 minutes outside of Fort Worth, Texas. I live on 7 acres with cows and chickens. I have one dog named River and she helps me take care of the cows. I love the peace and quiet of the country but also love being close to the big city too! I have always wanted to be a teacher. I was fortunate to have special teachers in my student career and would love to be able to be that person for a student. When I am not chasing chickens or cows, I enjoy reading and music. I am currently learning the piano and guitar. I can play the drums and I can sing.

Cognitive Diversity

How I adapt to students with diverse intellectual needs.

Every student is different. I meet the student where they are at and give them the opportunity to grow to build their confidence and knowledge.

Total physical response is key to keep a child engaged online.
