3rd Grade Science Fair Projects

Our 3rd Grade Science Fair Projects collection supports children around ages 8–9 as they begin designing simple investigations of their own. Homeschoolers, afterschooling families, and caregivers will find vetted, secular project ideas that teach kids how to ask questions, try things out, observe carefully, and share what they notice. Topics include plants, animals, weather, magnets, simple machines, and more, using safe, everyday materials.
