Preschool Social Studies

Our Preschool Social Studies collection helps very young children learn about families, feelings, and communities in simple, meaningful ways. Homeschoolers, afterschooling families, and caregivers will find vetted, secular resources for ages 3–5 that focus on everyday helpers, friendships, neighborhoods, routines, and celebrations from diverse cultures. You’ll see picture books, story-based curricula, and play invitations rather than formal lessons. Every resource is reviewed for developmental appropriateness, inclusivity, and a focus on curiosity and empathy rather than memorizing facts. Use the filters to sort by focus (family, community helpers, feelings, places, or celebrations), format (books, printables, parent guides), and learner needs such as autism, ADHD, sensory sensitivities, or speech and language differences. Many families weave preschool social studies into daily life and read-aloud time. If you’re unsure how much structure to use at this age, Modulo’s AI learning concierge can suggest a gentle path tailored to your child and your routines.
