2nd Grade

Second grade resources support children around ages 7 to 8 as they become more confident readers, begin writing paragraphs with proper punctuation and grammar, and expand math skills to include place value, larger numbers, simple multiplication, and word problems. At this age, kids develop stronger fine motor skills, follow more complex instructions, and start working independently for longer periods. They also grow in social awareness, empathy, and collaboration, while exploring science, history, and creative subjects in more detail. Families can filter resources by subject, grade level, teaching approaches like nature-based or screen-free learning, and specific learning needs such as giftedness, dyslexia, ADHD, or other differences. Modulo’s AI concierge is available to help families find resources that match their child’s academic progress and interests.
